Paper QSL's,eQSL,LoTW

We all love the paper QSL's...
But there are a few ways to send them.I like to use the Dutch QSL buro.
Here in the Netherlands,it works fast and save. But not everyone wants to use buro's...but why?
The buro here is free to use,we bring the QSL's to the montly meetings of our region. There's then also the QSL manager for our region, who takes our cards and also brings us the cards that are received by the Dutch QSL buro.
I hear stories from OM's that they wait for years for a card via buro's....
But is this maybe because the OM's that send the card, didn't send it straight after the QSO?
I got cards back from NA , SA and even JA within 6 months.
Sometimes our cards did cross....but also sometimes there's a "Tnx QSL" on it.

Maybe the buro's aren't working like here in other countries...?
Maybe also the buro's aren free to use, like here?
I can understand, that in some countries theymaybe have to travel too far to bring them.
Maybe even not possible and they have to post them anyway....

For me,i try to QSL mostly via de buro.
Also direct cards are send out,but also for us it's a expencive way.First we have to pay the poststamp here and also alot want to get $1 or $2 for the returning QSL's.
If we send $2 with the QSL...we pay almost $4 to get the QSL we want.
I do get sometimes $1 with direct QSL requests....but i send the $1 then back.
I don't need to have the other OM pay for the stamp,as his QSL card is very welcome already.

I also use eQSL and LoTW.Both are free to use and work also very nice.
LoTW counds for the DXCC's for awards by the ARRL,eQSL doesn't.
But eQSL is nice, because you also have a digital QSL card back as confirmation, not only some text. And some make really nice cards.
I have now already 2900 eQSL cards in my collection.
Both eQSL and LoTW are the fastest ways to get confirmations.I did work PF0F and got is within 3 weeks confirmed via LoTW.Same with DP1POL.
